High Blood Pressure at Applebee's

Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.

This Pizza is great if you love thin and crispy pizza with zesty sauce! I grew up eating this pizza at least every Saturday night and have taken a hiatus from it for 20 years. I would never recommend eating the pizza in house however their delivery is fast, friendly, and yummy! I especially love how the pizza is always crispy and never soggy, except for the melted cheese which can be so hot that it burns your mouth so be careful of this! This is a great local pizza place with very good delivery if you like a thin crust pizza!

I grew up down the street from beeks in the 80s. I was just telling my family the other day that the best pizza I ever ate was beeks. The crust was my favorite part, thin and crispy. Yummmm

A perfect combination of great thin crust pizza and memories from my youth. We visited the Beek's on Bloomington Avenue - in the 'hole' - with great regularity. I now take my kids to the last remaining outpost in St. Louis Park. Usually, we're the only folks in the dining room and that worries me that my kids won't be able to pass along Beeks Pizza to their kids. I hope the delivery business is booming on the weekend!

Please stay open forever! My fave Mn pizza joint. Well the Mpls one was...but the SLP does a decent impression. Crispy cracker thin crust. Classic. Retro. Wonderful Pizza!

I'm convinced this is the best pizza place in St. Louis Park. I've had it numerous times and have never been disappointed. Prices are reasonable as well. Delivery can be slow at times. Would be 5 stars if not for that. Haven't dined in here and based on the look from the curb, I think I will stick with delivery.

I live a few blocks away from this place. I'm now 21 and when I was younger I would go there all the time for end of season sports parties and I always loved it. I had it again recently and was still impressed. It's so good and I feel good that I'm supporting a small, local business. Great place!

If you like thin crust, Beeks is your place! Very yummy. I love that it's been around forever, and I love how simple, unassuming, and reliable it is. Took a star off because the interior needs to be redone, and they only take cash (which is kinda cute because of the nifty old timey cash register..but also kinda a pain in the butt). The interior is clean and everything, but it smells like my grandparents' house and it's just ..old. Other than that, love ya!

Fantastic thin crust pizza. This place has really stuck to its roots of old school pizza. Simple ingredients done right. It's a little on the pricey side, but it's worth it. Certainly better than your chain pizza shops and when you run the numbers it's only a couple bucks more.

I've ordered from Beek's twice, because I always give a place a second chance. Each time I ordered--six months apart, mind you--the pizza they delivered was not the pizza I ordered. Half the toppings left off, the wrong specialty pizza, and a different side. The first time, I complained. They insisted the order was correct. The second time, I decided not to go back. To be honest, the pizza really tasted pretty good. The sauce was runny, but the toppings--even if they were incorrect--were still tasty. I'd really like to try them again, but after the terrible customer service each time, I don't think you could convince me to.

If there ever was a distinction for pizza places being like dive bars Beek's would definitely fit the bill. Their building is old, much of the furniture inside seems rickety/outdated and the cash register is straight out of the 1950's. However, it's these endearing qualities in addition to the fact that Beek's makes a hella good pizza pie which keep me coming back. I've only ordered the King's Choice pizza which is a carnivore's dream come true and loaded with sausage, pepperoni, Canadian bacon and cheese. The KC is my favorite and is one of the greasiest/best pizzas I had here in the cities. Beek's pizzas are made on a really thin crust so expect to either fold your slice or eat it with a fork. Have cash ready as this is really the only form of payment they accept.

Several of my local friends snorted their derision when I mentioned I got pizza from Beek's last week, and I'm inclined to disagree. If you've been promised "thin, crisp crust" pizza as often as I have, only to receive "doughy, soggy crust" or "slightly-less-thick crust," you tend to appreciate a place that can deliver on that promise, and Beek's does. The crust is nice and thin and, well, crisp. I'm a fan. I also appreciate a menu like Beek's. They know what they do, and they don't do anything more than that. Sometimes less choice is more. If I were in St. Louis Park again - and grant you, there's probably a remote chance of that happening - I'd happily order from Beek's again.

I can appreciate the history and a made from scratch pizza. It is ok. Crust - ultra thin...not my favorite. No edge, and so thin it is quite crisp. Sauce - decent flavor, very mild. A little more sauce than I like. Sausage - homemade, but again, very mild. Could add a little spice to it.

Great pizza, They could stand a total refresh of the facility. Remove the "out of order", 40 year old video games and jukebox, etc. the place has potential. Go for the food, not the ambiance.

I really wanted to love this place, the David next to the Goliath right next door (PIzza Hut is literally right next door) and because I have a friend whose nickname is Beeks. But it was nothing special, just okay. Not horrible, it certainly beats LIttle Caesar's by a country mile, but nothing would compel me to go back given the other excellent pizza choices in this town.

Worth the trip. Check it out, i bet they could use the business. Pizza was $12.25 for a med peperoni and mushroom. Clean place, friendly counter help. They should fix the juke box but hey, with two national chain stores almost literally boxing them in, they do a great job.

I'd been meaning to try Beek's for some time, and finally ordered a medium King's Choice (Sausage, Pepperoni, Canadian Bacon, Cheddar Cheese) for carry-out. Just after I walked in the door of Beek's I noticed no less than 3 signs that said "Cash or Check only". Fortunately, the gas station across the street had an ATM. The inside of Beek's probably looks the same as it did 50 years ago. It was clean, but dark and outdated. I'm all for an old fashioned feel, but this just felt old and cheap. I was in there at about 6:30 pm on a Saturday and the restaurant was completely empty, except for one woman who also had to leave to find cash. I was less than impressed with the pizza. The thin crust is just fine, but the sauce is runny and lacks flavor. The thin sauce encouraged the cheese and toppings to slide off the crust every time I picked up a slice. If I order from there again, I'll probably leave off the cheddar cheese and stick with just mozzarella.

When my parents came down and visited this past summer time, they were shocked to see that Beek's was still in business. They used to live in St. Louis Park, way back in the day, so they insisted upon us going to try it out again. It was actually damn delicious. I was mighty surprised! We had just the pepperoni and green olive (my favorite) and I thought the place did it right. It was just the right amount of salty toppings, and delicious cheese. Just how I like it.. Way to go Beek's!

the sauce is a little runny but there is some mysterious flavor that reminds me of the 1980s when i last had beeks. i could have used a couple more sausages on the sausage pizza, especially as that was the only topping we got but mofo it was yummy. and about 10003 times yummier than pizza luce, with a much better decor and less hipster arsey waitstaff. yummmmmmm

Old School all the way! I have had many pizza, but this one is the bomb! Sweet sauce and fast delivery. The restaurant itself is a bit rundown, but it is classic. Love the smell of Beeks!

i have been going to them for over 20+ years. i do agree they need a lil thicker sauce, but thier toppings cant compare to any of the chain joints around her IE: better tasting this is by far the best pizza in the saint louis park area. it dont come off a convyor belt like the rest around here. if you dine in its not mannys steak house its just damn good pizza
